Royal London CPD Broker Roadshows 2017
A key difference for Royal London is that it chooses to only distribute through brokers in Ireland. With this in mind, to meet with brokers and share ideas for market and customer opportunities, in October 2017 Royal London held its annual CPD accredited broker focused seminars. Events took place in South Dublin, North Dublin, Limerick and Cork.
The 2-hour CPD accredited roadshow, entitled ‘Protecting your Customers’, covered topics including the customer claims journey and whole of life. Host Joe Charles, Royal London’s Head of Proposition, provided a short business update, which covered Royal London’s growing strength and stability, its claims paying ability and commitment, recent product enhancements and its focus on continuous improvements, before introducing the key speakers from Royal London.
Colette Houton, Underwriting and Claims Lead presented ‘Protecting your Customers: The Claims Journey’, which delved into the key five stages for customers from needs awareness and selection through to claim time. Proposition Lead, Barry McCutcheon spoke about ‘Probate and Funeral Expenses’, which included analysis from the Royal London Probate Position Paper published in August this year. This was followed by Head of Sales, Daragh Feely who presented ‘Whole of Life: It’s not just for your Customers’ Inheritance Tax’. This section included a range of insights into whole of life cover from term assurance comparisons to sales opportunities. There was a great attendee turnout across the events and Royal London would like to thank everyone for their time and continued support throughout 2017.
