Standard Life Launch Enhanced-Diversification Growth Fund

Enhanced-Diversification Growth Fund (EDGF) aims to provide equity-like returns in the longer term, but with fewer extreme outcomes over the course of your client’s investment.

EDGF combines Standard Life Investments strengths in multi-asset investment.  EDGF is designed to smooth out the peaks and troughs experienced by traditional growth assets while targeting equity-like returns over a market cycle (typically 5 – 7 years) but with just two thirds of the volatility of global equities.

To do this it uses a wide range of investments, including growth assets such as shares, bonds, property and credit as well as enhanced-diversification strategies including interest rates, relative value equities and currencies.   These strategies are designed to:

• combine well with the growth assets
• target a return in their own right
• act as genuine diversifiers in times of market stress.
